What is Neurofeedback ?

In simple terms, dynamic neurofeedback / Neuroptimal is like “yoga” for the brain.

Neurofeedback is an advanced therapeutic approach that retrains the brain by observing and adjusting its activity in real time. Using sensors placed on the scalp, dynamic neurofeedback detects brainwaves and analyzes information about how the brain functions. This technique identifies imbalances and helps correct them by encouraging the brain to adopt more harmonious and efficient patterns.

The effects of dynamic neurofeedback are profound and long-lasting. By improving brainwave regulation, it can alleviate issues such as anxiety, insomnia, phobias, and hyperactivity. Over time, sessions lead to enhanced overall well-being, better stress management, improved concentration, reduced anger, and greater mental clarity. Dynamic neurofeedback is a true workout for the brain, offering everyone the chance to regain balance and achieve optimal mental functioning.

How Does Neurofeedback Work?

Neurofeedback is a sophisticated technique that begins with an assessment. This first step includes an interview to better understand the symptoms (insomnia, phobias, pain, concentration, sensitivities, etc.) that we aim to improve positively.

Sensors are placed on the scalp to detect specific brainwaves. These brainwaves provide valuable information about brain activity.

The sensors monitor the brain’s electrical activity in real-time, which is translated into color-coded algorithms that assist with relaxation. This self-regulation process, made possible by the brain's plasticity, leads to a gradual improvement in symptoms, whether they involve sleep disorders, anxiety, or other imbalances.

By using this non-invasive and natural approach, Sonia helps restore lasting mental and emotional balance, guiding individuals step by step toward a better quality of life.

Our brain is made up of billions of neurons that communicate with each other through electrical signals. When our synapses are activated, they generate electrical activity that can be measured as brainwaves.

Under certain conditions, these brainwaves can become disrupted, leading to an imbalance where some waves are excessive while others are insufficient.

Dynamic neurofeedback is a therapy that helps restore this balance, allowing individuals to better regulate their brainwaves.

Brainwaves and Neurofeedback:

Neurofeedback is a technique that relies on modulating brainwaves, measured in Hertz (Hz), to improve certain cognitive or emotional functions. Brainwaves are electrical oscillations produced by neuronal activity, and they are classified into different categories based on their frequency:

  • Delta waves (0.5-4 Hz) are associated with deep sleep and regeneration.

  • Theta waves (4-8 Hz) are linked to deep relaxation and light meditation.

  • Alpha waves (8-12 Hz) promote a state of relaxation and calm alertness.

  • Beta waves (12-30 Hz) are associated with active concentration, but excess beta activity can cause stress or anxiety.

  • Gamma waves (30-100 Hz) are involved in high-level cognitive processes, such as awareness and rapid learning.

Neurofeedback allows real-time monitoring of these waves and helps individuals train to modify them, for example, to better manage stress or improve concentration. Through this approach, people can learn to regulate their brain activity to achieve optimal states of well-being.

Understanding Frequencies in Hertz:

Therapy for All Ages

I offer a range of diverse therapies tailored for both children and adults, effectively addressing various issues such as sleep disorders, dietary imbalances, hyperactivity, phobias, and chronic pain. Through personalized approaches, I help you regain balance and achieve lasting well-being.

Sleep Disorders

The patient learns to better manage stress and promote more restorative sleep. This natural, drug-free approach is particularly effective for those seeking lasting solutions to sleep problems.

Anxiety, Fear, Phobia
Academic Performance: Hyperactivity and Concentration

Gradually, patients experience a reduction in anxiety attacks and improved control over their fears and phobias. This natural method provides a sustainable alternative for regaining serenity and confidence without relying on medication.

By training the brain to better regulate its waves, this method enhances attention span and reduces impulsive behaviors. Those affected experience improved self-control and increased concentration in their daily lives.

Physiological Disorders

Insomnia, Migraines, Pain, Chronic Fatigue, Tinnitus, Hot Flashes, Dizziness, Epilepsy, Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s Disease, Lyme Disease.

Mood Disorders
Cognitive Disorders

Depressive states, negative thoughts, lack of self-confidence, and hyperemotivity can be obstacles to our well-being. However, it is possible to regain balance by taking care of yourself and addressing these challenges in a positive and constructive way.

Deficient memory, lack of concentration, attention disorders, ADHD, and disorganized thinking can complicate daily life. However, with the right support, it is possible to regain clarity and balance.

Discover Neuroptimal in Video

In this video, the narrator explores how our brain reacts to emotions and why it can sometimes be difficult to control our reactions. She describes the neural mechanisms involved, explaining how certain emotions can quickly activate specific brain circuits. The video also offers tips for better emotional management by becoming aware of these processes and adopting practices to center oneself, such as deep breathing and mindfulness.
